He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitfield Scott, Sr. and Susie Venable Scott; and his siblings, Willie Nelson Scott, Andrew Scott, Reverend James E. Scott, Mary Scott-Grant, Ortee Elizabeth Clark and Rebecca Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel W. Scott of Randolph; his children, Barbara J. Anderson of Culpepper, Gail Scott of Waldorf and Carla Y. Beckward (William) of Clarksburg, Maryland; his grandchildren, Charletta L. Edmonds (Leon) of Randolph, Candice M. Scott of Randolph, Jamilah A. Rouse of Culpepper, Fareedah Rouse of Culpepper, Najah Rouse of Culpepper, Rahman Rouse of Culpepper, Damani B. Scott (Olivia) of North Carolina and Madison V. Beckward of Clarksburg, Maryland; his great grandchildren, Taurean Carter of Richmond, Mecca Carter of Halifax, Asia Ross (Rahquan) of Summerville, Richard Edmonds Jr. of Randolph and Eliana Rose of Culpepper; and his brother Reverend Whitfield Scott, Jr. (Roosevelt). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, family and friends.
