He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Simpkins and Mildred Simpkins; his siblings, Shelby Roberts (Bobby), Herbert and Travis; his parents-in-law, James and Edith Martin; and his brother-in-law A. W. Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Martin Simpkins; his siblings, Nelson (Deborah), Don, Linda Smith Riner (Bob) and Teresa Davis; his siblings-in-law, Gail Simpkins, Radford, Joan Thompson (Jack), Regina Martin, Salem and Bob Martin (Wanda); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dr. Kyle Moran, Connor and Sami; and also, Stuart and Monica Moran. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
