She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ohlsen Simpkins, Sr. and Maggie H. Simpkins; her sister Trudy Simpkins Merriman; her brother-in-law Donald Merriman; and her nephew William Earl.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Bruce Jett; her children, Bonnie Hayes (Joe) of Radford, Danette Jett of Blacksburg and Bruce Jett (Melinda) of Abingdon; her granddaughters, Hillary Hayes (Blaze) of Hawaii and Ashley Sandridge (Mallory) of Richmond; her great grandchildren, Elijah, Hudson and Ryder; her stepgranddaughters, Amanda and Ashton Bishop; her brother James Ohlson Simpkins (Sandra) of Christiansburg; her nephews, Eric Hulett (Elizabeth) of Martinsburg and Jimmy Merriman (Linda); and her niece Sherry Lynn Vaughn (Spencer) of Roanoke. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
