She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Vaughn and Margaret Vaughn; her husband Max Jenkins; her daughter Meg Jenkins Goepel; her grandson John Patrick Jenkins; and her brothers, Bobby Vaughn, Johnny Vaughn and Jack Vaughn.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Max Jenkins and Jill Jenkins Alderman; her son-in-law Tony Alderman of Radford, Virginia; her grandchildren, William Alex Alderman of Lake Tahoe, Robert Max Jenkins II of Richmond, Emily Walters Jenkins of Kent Island, Andrew Chambers Goepel of Greenville and Abigail Vaughn Jenkins of Kent Island, Maryland; her sister Mary Sue Daniels (Virginia) of Norton; her nieces, Denise Hickman of Durham and Jeannine Vires of Norton, Virginia; her brother-in-law Bobby (Stathia Jenkins) of Reidsville, Virginia; her close friend Barbara Van Dyke (Virginia) of Radford; and her pet Rhett Butler Jenkins Alderman. She is also survived by nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Presbyterian Church of Radford.
