He is survived by: his wife Sherry Keister Carter; his children, Kevin James Carter (Tanya), Joni Jones (Landon) and Sarah Beth Thompson (Cody); his grandchildren, Brantley Ray Thompson, Silas Wesley Jones and Serenity Rose Thompson; his siblings, Robin Rogers, Jackie Albert, Tracey Brumfield, Joe Carter and Johnny Carter; and his close friends, Donnie Lytton, Sam Jones and Wayne Ketch.
