He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Roberta Odham Hamlin; his son Elvin Randolph Hamlin (Randy); his parents, James Thomas (JT) and Bertha Mae Taylor Hamlin; and his siblings, Dwight, Orville, Dorothy, Warren, Rosa, Calvin, Paul and Pauline.
He is survived by: his daughters, J. Rebecca Hamlin Morris (David) of Pearisburg and Rose Mary Hamlin Hill (Greg) of Radford; his granddaughter Rachel Aaron Morris Echols (Jason) of Richlands; his great grandchildren, Sasha, Gabe and Rossi; his granddaughters, Jessica Hilton of Blacksburg and Rochelle Newman Snider (Josh) of McCoy; and his great grandchild Rylan. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
