It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ira Omer Kessinger of Radford, Virginia, born in McCoy, Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Kemper and Woneda Ruth Meredith Kessinger; his wife Hazel Ramsey Kessinger; and his son Jeffry Kessinger. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Kessinger, Cheryl Allen and Julie Kessinger (Geoff Hitchingham); and his friend Carole Gerald. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes or Fairlawn United Methodist Church.
