She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Lester and Grace Graham Lester; her husband Lewis Edward Newby; her children, Linda Lovern and Philip Newby; and her brother Paul Lester.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Newby of Pulaski and Lewis Newby, Jr. of Radford. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.
