He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Whitesides and Stella Whitesides; and his brother Bobby Whitesides. He is survived by: his wife Judy Whitesides; his children, William Lee Whitesides, Jr., Mark Whitesides (Val), Cheryl Crawford (John), Victor Whitesides and Mariya Whitesides; his grandchildren, David Ian Whitesides (Becca), Brandon Whitesides, Brooke Whitesides, Nicole Crawford and Tyler Crawford; his great grandchildren, Madison, Makenna and Cooper; his daughter-in-law Lisa Whitesides; his sisters, Beth Wolfe of Gastonia, NC and Beverly Kimbro (Jack) of Gastonia, NC; and his close friend John Rosenberg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
