He was predeceased by: his parents, Emidio Bassetti and Lois Bassetti; and his brother Vernon Bassetti. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Bassetti; his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Brendan Cashin; his son Steven Bassetti; his grandchildren, Rachel, Isabella Cashin and Lucas Bassetti; his brother Marlon; his sister-in-law Cathy Bassetti; and his sister Carolyn Williams.
