He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Libby Jr. and Virginia Payne Harwood. He is survived by: his stepsiblings, Ellen Satchell and Oscar Conrad "Sandy" Thacker; his nephews, Gregory Luce and Jason Satchell (Julie); his niece Emily Vera (Jacob); and his pet Rue.
