We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2022, at the age of 77, Grace Austin Dowdy of Quinton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Austin, Sr. and Grace Whitlow Austin; and her brother Charles Austin. She is survived by: her husband Henry Dowdy, Jr. of Quinton, VA; her daughters, Michele Dowdy-Mason of Clayton, NC, Melanie King (Brandon) of Concord, NC and Meredith Johnson (Paul) of Petersburg, VA; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Kyle, Kimberly, Kasey, Elizabeth, Julianna, Kevin, Lydia, Kara, Brandon, Kameron, Kristopher and Timothy; her great grandchild Daisy; and her siblings, John Austin (Karen) of Varina, Clyde Austin, Jr. (Joanne) of Mechanicsville and Mary Simons of Chesterfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Landmark Baptist Church Mission's Fund or to Samaritan's Purse.
