She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Crowder and Artie Crowder; her sisters, Elizabeth O. Wilkins and Willie Ann Spence; her niece Catherine Floyd; and her nephew Randy Spence.

She is survived by: her husband Raymond "Ray" Mitchell; and her siblings, Juanita Floyd (Carter) and Tommy Crowder (Carolyn).
