He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Wilbourne Garland; and his brother Billy Garland of Chase City, VA.. He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Brankley of Skipwith, VA; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Ramey (Bob) of Sandston, VA, Janet McPherson of Richmond, VA, Ruth Gandel (Bill) of Prince George, VA and Virginia Ann Garland of Chase City, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, 500 Masonic Lane, Richmond, VA 23223.
