He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcy Ray Cave, Sr. and Bessie Gantt Cave of Virginia; and his sisters, Dorothy Cave and Margaret "Margy" Cave. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Rae Byers Cave; his children, Tamara Gail Grindheim (Kevin), Kelli Renee Lieder (Neil) and Alcy Ray Cave, III; and his sister Connie Toup.
