He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Benjamin Mapp, Jr. and Alice Hopkins Mapp; and his sisters, Audrey Belote, Maude Parker and Libby Tarr.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Jo Ann Jones of Quinby; and his son William C. "Chris" Mapp (Chelsie) of Broadwater, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
