He was predeceased by: his father James Henry Mitchell, Jr.; and his brother Joseph Mitchell. He is survived by: his mother Ann Louise Mitchell (Baker); his wife Mary Lou Mitchell; his daughters, Eileen Andrews (Charles) and Natalie Fox (Brandon); and his siblings, David Mitchell (Lawrence Bach), Luann Remick (Michael) and Teresa Bowman (Jonny). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
