He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Barger, Sr. and Lena Jenkins Barger; and his wife Joyce Barger (Wilt). He is survived by: his children, Bootsie Giroux (Tim), Karen Mengel (David) and Christopher Barger (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Kyle Giroux (Carley), Sydney Giroux, Andrew Mengel, Margaret Mengel and Bradley Barger (Margie Jensen); and his brother Martin Barger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lovettsville Fire and Rescue in Lovettsville, VA.
