It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Pearl Cook Jessie of Pulaski, Virginia, born in Welch, West Virginia, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Calup Jessie; her parents, Fred Gandy Cook and Zella Lou Reedy Cook; her daughter Sandra Jane Blankenship; and her siblings, Ira Cook, Fred "Jerry" Cook, Billy Cook and Leola Boschian.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Lee Jessie (Janice), William Donald Jessie (Peggy), Teresa Jessie Ososki (John) and Michael Jay Jessie.
