He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Cox Phillips of Pulaski; his sons, James Robert Phillips, II of Little Creek and John Phillips (Devin) of Amherst; his sister Linda Vanhoozier (Butch) of Fairlawn; his aunt Marie Hedge-Handy; and his grandchildren, Emily Phillips of Amherst, Chelsea Phillips of Amherst and Marlee Phillips of Albany, GA..
