It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Chitwood Jr. of Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Logan Chitwood and Bonnie Jean Painter Chitwood. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Logan Chitwood; his son-in-law Patrick "Rick" Newlun; his sister Pam Chitwood Moore; his brother-in-law Gene Moore; his niece Maia Logan Moore; his friend Karen Largen; and also, Kelly and Amy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jimmy's honor to the Elks National Foundation Scholarship Fund.
