It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry Linwood Surface of Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Irene Dixson Surface; his siblings, Beatrice, Mary, Hensel, Bill and Bryce; his brother-in-law Lonnie Mel Cash; his wife Doris Pratt Surface; his daughters, Linda Payne (Posey) and Nancy Ridley (Dennis); his brother Earl Surface (Liz); his sister-in-law Dorothy Pratt Cash; his grandchildren, Mike Payne (Reyn), Sherry Boone (Robbie), Bo Ridley (Holly) and Justin Ridley; and his great grandchildren, Campbell Payne (Lina), Elise Payne, Anderson Payne, Bryce, Josh, Jackson, Ava, London Ridley, Eagle Ceremony, Flag, Capitol and Army Ranger. He was also cherished by friends, and family, especially his grandkids.
