He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertie Hamblin Roope and John Campbell Roope; and his brothers, James Darnell Roope, Ralph E. Roope, Emory Roope, Guy Roope, Roy Roope, Carl Roope and Ray Roope.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Virgie Banes Roope; and his children, Clarence Daniel Roope (Susan) of Garden Grove, CA, Wade Hensley Roope (Melissa) of Pulaski, Paul Anthony Roope (Bonnie) of Christiansburg and Shelby Jean Roope (Fred) of Pulaski. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening at Seagle Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Flowers are appreciated, but those who wish, may make memorials to the Goshen Cemetery Association of Walkers Little Creek Fund 1490 Spur Branch Road Dublin, Va. 24084.
