He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burnette and Molly Burnette; and his sons, Samuel Tony Burnette and Mark Burnette. He is survived by: his wife Martha Vest Burnette; his son Donald F. Burnette, II; his grandchildren, Madelene, Meredith, Mallory, Makaney and Brandon; and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Burnette, Bettie Morehead and Clara Bell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
