He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Golfo Antonopoulos Kakouras and Konstantinos D. Kakouras; his wife Marina Peggy Kakouras; his sons, Konstantinos "Kosta" D. Kakouras of Inman, SC and Christos D. Kakouras (Liliana) of Boiling Springs, SC; his brothers, Panagiotis D. Kakouras (Aikaterini) of Whispering Pines, NC and Theofanis D. Kakouras of State Road, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Konstantinos "Kosta" P. Kakouras of Aberdeen, NC, Ioannis "Yianni" P. Kakouras of Robbins, NC, Andreas P. Kakouras of Whispering Pines, NC, Konstantinos "Dean" Kakouras of Somerdale, NJ, Golfo "GiGi" Kakouras of Elkin, NC and Alexandra Kakouras of Elkin, NC. He was also cherished by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (697 Asheville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29303). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
