He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ingram Alexander and Minnie Nicatie Alexander Hamblin; his son Douglas Burnette; and his brother Nathaniel Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Alexander; his children, Ronald Burnette (Linda), Pulaski, Jevonna Davis, Gary Alexander, Teri and Wendy Waters; his grandchildren, Jessica Hodge (Kyle), Heather Burnette, Kincie Burnette, Ryan Weikel (Bri) and Audrey Weikel; his great grandchildren, Roslyn Hodge, Charlie Hodge, Ginny Weikel, Ryan Wisdom, Liam Weikel, Alex Dorton and Kaige Dorton; and his brothers-in-law, Henry Jennings, Bobby Bates and Danville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
