He was predeceased by: his parents, D. W. Harris and Faye Bond Earles Harris; his brother Robert Ace Harris; his half-brother Alvin Cecil Earles; and his uncle Gene Bond.
He is survived by: his wife Susan K. Harris; his sons, Steven W. Erickson (Sandra) and Richard T. Erickson (Chasidy); his siblings, Sherry Wolfe (Rick) and Donald Wayne Harris; his half-brother Steve Earles (Kitty); his aunt Wanda Bond; and his stepdaughter Caitlin McClure. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Charlie requested that donations be made to Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church, 6893 Mills Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
