She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Albert Goad and Hassie Opal Horton Goad; her husband Ward Henderson Lyons, Jr.; and her granddaughter Christa Sherry. She is survived by: her son Gary Lee Lyons; her grandchildren, Jennifer Morris, Gerald M. Lyons and Kassondra Lyons; and her brothers, Emmanuel Goad, Galax Elmer Goad and Dugspur.
