He is survived by: his wife Neecia Burton Welch; his sons, Barry Welch Brian (Allison) and Charles Davis; his grandchildren, Samuel Welch, Nicholas Welch, Casey Welch, Alexander Welch, Ashley Welch and Eleanor Davis; and his brother Ronald Welch (Vickie).
