He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Caldwell, Jr. and Bernice K. Minter; and his son-in-law Richard C. Salvatore II. He is survived by: his wife Denise M. Caldwell; his children, Melanie "Nicki" Byrd (Eric), Elizabeth "Betsy" Salvatore, Devin Caldwell (Kathen) and Timothy Caldwell (Mindy); his brothers, Charles "Randy" Caldwell III (Angy), Stephen Caldwell (Cheryl) and Wayland Caldwell (Jane); and his grandchildren, Krysten, Hope, Braden, Adam, Ethan and William. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
