He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Otey; his children, Cornell Otey and Rosemary Cotman; and his sister Shirley Murray. He is survived by: his children, Waddell Otey Jr. (Willie Ann), Danita Harris, Sharon Otey and Lynnette Otey; his siblings, Rawlin Otey (Valerie), Doris Roberts, Thelma Johnson and Clarabelle Winston; and his grandchildren, Jermaine, Nicholas Sr., VaShaun, Sr., Kayla, Kaiya Otey, Corey, Chad Harris, Takia, Emmitt Cotman, Jr. and Eboney Bryant. He is also survived by grandkids; and 3 great great grandkids; and a host of family and friends.
