He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Perry and Mary Lera Ernest Stanley; and his siblings, Joyce, Ewell, Lowell, Ross and Earl Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Michael Stanley (Susan Upshaw) and Brian Stanley; his sister Merle Crane (Bill); his sisters-in-law, Sharon Stanley and Shirley Stanley; his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Rachel (Tommy Atkinson), Grayson, Harrison, Ashley and Patrick; and his great grandchild Thomas Atkinson, III. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
