He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Marilyn DeWinne of Schertz and Rene De Winne of San Antonio; and his brother-in-law Mike Love of San Antonio. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Carruthers; his parents, Vivian St. Louis and Terry Carruthers (Donna); his sons, Edward Anthony Carruthers of San Antonio and Christopher Wayne Carruthers (Nathalie Sanchez) of Marble Falls; his brothers, Scott Moreno (Laura) of Fresno California, David Carruthers and Donnie Carruthers; his siblings-in-law, Diane Love of San Antonio and Mark Purcell of Schertz; and his nieces and nephews, Johnathan Niemietz (Kathie) of San Antonio, Joshua Niemietz of San Antonio, Rebecca Niemietz of San Antonio, Sara Niemietz of San Antonio, Drew Moreno (Aly) of Clovis and Scotty Moreno of Fresno. He is also survived by 4 great-nephews and 7 great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the American Kidney Fund in his memory, and to consider the wonderful gift of organ donation.
