He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Simms and Rosa Simms; and his brother Larry Simms. He is survived by: his children, Brandon Crump (Javon), Deontae Simms (Shamari) and Kaci Simms; his siblings, Shirley Miller, Irene Johnson, Lolita Johnson and Maury "Dank" Johnson; the mothers of children, Kerry Simms and Alicia Brooks; and his nephew Jermaine Simms. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
