It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linwood Wayne Davenport of Providence Forge, Virginia, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on May 17, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Davenport and Catherine Davenport; his sister Linda Lee Southward; and his in-laws, Burton and Dorothy Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife ValJean Davenport; his children, Wayne Davenport, Jr. (Alice) and Catherine Barlow (Keith); his grandchildren, April Davenport Boykin (Jason), Morgan Rudd (Dillon), Devin Barlow (Abbie), Jonathan Barlow and Claire Barlow; and his great grandchildren, Cash Castlebury, Caroline Boykin and Colson Barlow.
