It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph L. Cannaday Sr. (Providence Forge, Virginia), who passed away on August 7, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Oletha Cannaday; his mother Annie Brown; and his brother Henry Chandler, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Cannaday, Jr. (Christine Cannaday) and Lori Butler (Ronald Butler, Jr.); his granddaughter Katherine Stronge (Kelvin Stronge); his great grandchildren, Everett, Henry and Willem Stronge; his brothers, Frank Brown, Jr. (Elizabeth Brown) and Alfred Brown (Doris Brown); and his friend Marie Alvis (Cookie). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
