He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Bowman and Marcell C. Bowman; and his sisters, Iris B. Adkins and Pamela E. Otey. He is survived by: his wife Annie WIlma Bell; his children, Glenn M. Bowman, Jr. (Gayle) and Lorna Braxton (Kevin, Sr.); his grandchildren, Satina Jones, Maurice Washington, Jr. (Benesha), Glenn Bowman III Lornice (Whitney), Kevin Braxton, Jr. and Tisha Braxton (Adam); his goddaughter Erica Bowman; his siblings, Carol Lewis (William) and Monte Bowman (Irene); his mother-in-law Eva I. Bell; his siblings-in-law, Lash Bell, Eva Pugh (Kevin), Etta Charity Gail (Roscoe, Sr), Rufus Bell, Jr. and Dwight Greene, Sr.; his friends, Stanley Otey and Clyde Allen; and his cousin Deborah Adkins Allen (Deb). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
