He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Marshall; his parents, Louis Marshall and Anna Marshall; and his siblings, Douglas, John, Wesley, Buddy Marshall (Louis Carlton), Violet Green, Rachel Tate, Joan Reil and Beatrice Starkweather.
He is survived by: his sister Donna Marshall; his daughters, Tina Carrington, Shelly Holder and Stacy Conner; and his grandchildren, Jessica Davis, David Luchard, Jr., Climothy Morris, Jr. and Joshua Morris. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren who he adored and many nieces, nephews and friends.
