He was predeceased by: his parent Sarah Eason; his wife Gloria Eason of Surry County, Virginia.; his son Carl Daye; and his great grandchild Aiden Brown. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Daye (Cheri), Annette Daye, Robert Ellis (Mary), Pettra Ellis, Glenn Earl Edmonds, Cornell Daye (Tamara), Anthony Strong (Cindy) and Athena Evans; his brothers, Jessie Eason (Mildred) and William Eason (late Helen Eason); and his close friend Richard Morton. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
