With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann Whitehead of Providence Forge, Virginia, born in Charles City, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Whitehead, Sr. and Luevania Miles Whitehead; and her siblings, Iona W. Adkins, Fenton L. Whitehead, Robert E. Whitehead Jr., Langston H. Whitehead Sr. and Vivian W. Walker.
She is survived by: her sisters, Phyllis W. Charity and Connie W. Crawley; her godson Ryan Gardner; and her friends, Mae Carson, Marie Hart and Michelle Brown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; cousins.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Baptist Church (8131 Roxbury Rd, Charles City, VA 23030). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Carolyn joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age and remained a dedicated member, attending church regularly until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
