It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lee Stoots of Prospect, Virginia, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stoots and Kathleen Stoots; and his siblings, Wanda and Clarence. He is survived by: his wife Diana Hagy Stoots; his children, Jennifer Stoots Gunter (Garland) of Prospect and Gary Lee Stoots II (Cindie); his siblings, Christopher Stoots (Melissa) of Daleville, VA, Michael Stoots (Rhonda) of Roanoke, VA and Jennifer Stoots Stone (Danny) of Perry; his grandchildren, Lee Garris, Brooke Moore (Eli), Blake Stoots and Dustin Gunter; his stepgrandchildren, Brandy Morgan (Travis), Joshua Gunter (Alexis) and Blake Gunter; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Emma and Ava; and his stepgrandchildren, Jaycie, Cheyanne, Blakely, Berkeley, Camden and Brantley. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 4307 Prince Edward Hwy, Prospect, VA 23960. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location.
