With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willie Barnes of Prince George, Virginia, born in Snow Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin G. Barnes; her son Donald; her parents, William Gavin and Eva Gavin; and her siblings, Cleo, Juanita, Kenneth, William "Billy", Wilbur, Richard and Milo.
She is survived by: her son William "Jerry" Barnes (Maureen); and her siblings, James "JC" Gavin (Debbie), Nan Smith and Diane Simonowich. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
