Jon R. Tabb Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jon R. Tabb of Prince George, Virginia, born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on August 29, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Tabb and Waulda "Buzz" Buzzard Tabb; and his grandson Joshua "Josh" Strader. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tabb; his daughters, Melisa "Lisa" Thurman (Chris) of Colonial Heights and Kristen Hurlocker (Paul) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Strader, John "Johnny" Strader, Lauren Kate Hurlocker and Benjamin "Ben" Hurlocker; and his siblings, James Robert Tabb of Villages, FL, Jeffrey Mark Tabb of Norfolk and Tara Jo Hayden of Norfolk. He is also survived by 8 nephews and nieces and numerous great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the John R. Tabb Scholarship Fund in Economics, c/o of Dr. Agarwal, Economics Department, Constant Hall 2044, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA 23529.
