It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Edward Thompson of Prince George, Virginia, who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Duward Carr Thompson and Virginia Harrison Thompson Godfrey; and his son Steven Dale Thompson. He is survived by: his former wife Joyce E. Thompson; his daughter Rebecca Thompson Brooks; his grandsons, Charles Matthew Brooks (Annika) and Jonathan Adam Brooks (Christina); and his sister Charlotte Stanley (John).

“Mr. Thompson was a wonderful neighbor and even came to use his chainsaw to get a tree off our home after an ice storm. My daughters and I will best remember him for great chats as we walked our dogs. He had always read a book and was interested in our opinion. At the Hopewell Library, he was a generous regular at the Friends' Bookstore. His curiosity and kindness will not be replaced. One of the Best 💛”
