He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Bernice Kilpatrick and James Reynolds Thompson Washburn; his brothers, Ronald Washburn (Ronnie) and Joseph Howard Washburn (Joe); his daughter Theresa Marie Grubb; and his grandson Brian Thomas Jarrell (Jessica).

He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Washburn; his daughter Brenda Jarrell (Bruce); his brother John Washburn (Jackie); his nephews, Will Washburn and Nathan Washburn; his niece Christina Cho; his grandchildren, Christopher Jarrell (Molly), Matthew Grubb (Kelsey), Erin Cote (Michael), Michael Jarrell, Melissa Grubb and Steven Jarrell; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Lacey Jarrell, Brady Grubb, Cooper Cote, Briar, Nora Jarrell, Trey DeRemer and McKenna Grubb. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
