He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Benner Shenk; and his siblings, Lois and Donald. He is survived by: his children, Karen Shenk Iazzi (Bill) of Lynchburg, Philip E. Shenk of Powhatan and Evangeline Shenk Schrock (Darrel) of Newport News; and his siblings, Betty, Alice, Louretta, David and Maurice.
