He is survived by: his wife Hattie Short; his brother Basel Bales; his children, Ricky Short, Susie Corcoran (Kevin) and Mary Martin (Eddie); his grandchildren, Jennifer Adams (Steven), Michelle Corcoran (Brandon), Jeremiah Short and Joshua Fleischman; and his great grandchildren, Jon Corcoran, Cedric Adams, Thomas Adams and Berkley Adams.
