He was predeceased by: his father Leon Jarvis; his stepparents, Louise Jarvis and Monk Boltz; and his mother Frances Jarvis. He is survived by: his girlfriend Oweda Childress of Mechanicsville; his daughters, Jennifer Lawson (Adam) of Powhatan and Stephanie Waycaster (TJ) of Powhatan; his brothers, Gary Jarvis (Linda) of Powhatan and Kenny Jarvis (Kathy) of Kilmarnock; his grandchildren, Blake (Haley), Emmalee (Coby), Jaksyn, Tyler and CeCe; his great grandchild Storm; and his former wife Debbie Byrley.
Mike's story is not an easy one to tell, but is one that should bring awareness to the desperate need for advancement and care in the Alzheimer's and dementia community and in the behavioral health field. Please, in lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association.
