It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lelia Ann Hicks (Powhatan, Virginia), who passed away on April 6, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel G. Booker and Alice Gibson Booker; her husband James Hicks, Sr.; and her son James Hicks, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Lelia Ann Hicks; her aunt Dorothy; her uncle Thurston Norman; her daughters, Shirley Royal (Harry) and Celestine Yates (Calvin); her granddaughter Katina Woolridge; her great great grandchildren, Laveyah and Grayson; her cousin Lorene Gibson; and her close friend Caroline Clements. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
