He was predeceased by: his parents, Leola Mae Hensley Franklin and Joseph Charles Franklin; and his sisters, Bertie Franklin Wood and Susan Harkins Brame. He is survived by: his brothers, Henry Preston Franklin Sr. and Nelson Edward Hawkins (Red); his wife Jean Franklin; his children, Leslie Franklin Landess and Kenneth Wayne Franklin Jr. (Ken); his grandchildren, David Glen Landess III (Trey) and Taylor Marie Landess (Marissa); his siblings, Joseph Harvey Franklin (Pat), Albert Lewis Franklin (Sherri) and Anita Harkins Proffitt (Robbie); and his uncle John Hensley (Annette). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
